White Rose Agility

White Rose Agility is a competition agility club based in Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. There are normally about 20 members competing with dogs of all standards from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and at all heights: Small, Medium and Large.

White Rose Agility trains on Wednesday evenings only, and takes only handlers and dogs that are already competing in Kennel Club or equivalent standard shows. Members attend shows most weekends of the year - especially in the summer - and judge or ring party at many of them. As a club we believe firmly in having fun, and in putting something back into the sport that we all enjoy so much.

Currently there are no vacancies. Training is to KC regulations, eg up-contacts are trained as well as down-contacts.

White Rose Agility
White Rose Agility is a private group of agility handlers, trainers and competitors who train together twice a week in Halifax, West Yorkshire.
When White Rose Agility began in August 2000, there was only one Novice handler; all the others were Elementary, Starters or pre-competition. There were about 16 members and about 20 dogs. One member was already a judge and a trained instructor.
White Rose Agility now has 4 practising judges and 6 instructors. Currently we are holding the club at 21 members and 29 Large dogs, 5 Medium dogs and 7 Small dogs. We also have 3 associate members training a further 6 dogs between them. The group provides ring parties for at least 4 shows a year, and visiting trainers supplement the instruction given.
On an equally important note, the group's mutual respect, support, loyalty and sense of humour have bonded members into a close group whose sense of identity has become a trademark of White Rose Agility, and for which it is well known, particularly in the North of England.
Because of existing numbers we are not currently able to accept new members, and do not keep a waiting list. If in the future we are able to offer places, it will be to those already competing in this exciting sport. We regret we cannot take on those new to the sport because of existing commitments.
