White Rose Agility

White Rose Agility is a competition agility club based in Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. There are normally about 20 members competing with dogs of all standards from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and at all heights: Small, Medium and Large.

White Rose Agility trains on Wednesday evenings only, and takes only handlers and dogs that are already competing in Kennel Club or equivalent standard shows. Members attend shows most weekends of the year - especially in the summer - and judge or ring party at many of them. As a club we believe firmly in having fun, and in putting something back into the sport that we all enjoy so much.

Currently there are no vacancies. Training is to KC regulations, eg up-contacts are trained as well as down-contacts.

White Rose Agility Winter Training
October sees the start of the winter training at White Rose Agility. Unfortunately, it also sees an increase in the cost of the venue, so some adjustments have had to be made for that.
Monday Evenings 7.00 to 8.30
This will be used for the puppy/beginners class only in future. By beginners, we mean dogs that we consider might benefit from a more focused environment. Dogs invited to attend (if their handlers wish it!) are:
Rageh (Viv)
Percy (Liz B)
Jake (Liz D)
Dazz (Belinda)
Gem (Linda)
Faye (Jean)
Cost will be £3.00 per dog per session, payable on the night.
Instruction will be provided.

Wednesday Evenings 7.30 to 8.30 and 9.00 to 10.00
There will be two sessions as above.
Ø We would like people attending the first session to arrive at 7.00 please to help set up the equipment. If your name is on the list for this session (below) but you cannot make that time, please let us know and we will try to move you to the second session.
Ø We would like people from the second session to put the equipment away at the end please. If this is a problem for you, please let us know and we will try to move you to the first session.
The 8.30 to 9.00 slot is for Mike, Jan and Brenda to train their dogs if they wish, and for other handlers to take a break and socialise.

Handlers for the first session (7.00 to 8.30) are:
Mike
Diane
Lorraine
Viv (Walter)
Liz B (Heidi)
Jackie (Visa)
Karen
Wendy
Jean
Dennis
David
Linda R
Jan
Instruction will be provided by Brenda

Handlers for the second session (9.00 to 10.00) are:
Brenda
Viv (Chaz)
Jackie (Rio)
Natalie
Rosie
Colette
Karen
Dianne
Wendy
Jan
David
Instruction will be provided by Mike or Jan

Cost for each session will be £3.00 per dog per session, payable quarterly in advance (usually £39 per dog per quarter) If we cancel training, we will reduce the cost of the next quarter accordingly.

Monday Training with Dianne Talbot
This will continue monthly at present, with private lessons in the day time and a group lesson in the evening. The day lessons are £20 per hour for Dianne and £15 per hour for the venue, total £35. The evening lesson is £20 for 3 hours with Dianne, plus a share of £60 for the venue, depending upon the number in the group (8 to 10 people, so £6.00 or £6.67 or£7.50) total £26 to £27.50.
If you have any queries about these new arrangements, or wish to change groups for example, please talk to Brenda or Mike or Jan, and we will do what we can to sort things out.
