White Rose Agility

White Rose Agility is a competition agility club based in Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. There are normally about 20 members competing with dogs of all standards from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and at all heights: Small, Medium and Large.

White Rose Agility trains on Wednesday evenings only, and takes only handlers and dogs that are already competing in Kennel Club or equivalent standard shows. Members attend shows most weekends of the year - especially in the summer - and judge or ring party at many of them. As a club we believe firmly in having fun, and in putting something back into the sport that we all enjoy so much.

Currently there are no vacancies. Training is to KC regulations, eg up-contacts are trained as well as down-contacts.

Lisa and Tony took the training last night, which I thoroughly enjoyed - many thanks to both!! Well thought out and challenging, just like I like it. It meant that I got some show-style training in with Amber - I continue to be impressed by how much more confident she is getting again, working further away from me and taking direction so that we can get the optimum line far more rapidly. She's a good girl!! And 9 years old yesterday!
It also meant I was able to do some jumping skills instructing at the other end of the arena, looking at layering box work and changing direction at speed to get the fastest lines. Good to see David back in action after his operation again - more active than he's supposed to be yet, but not as active as he usually is. I really enjoyed the evening, and everyone else seemed to do so too.
Except.....that Wendy had some bad news about her mother during the evening, and we are all thinking of her at this sad time.
