White Rose Agility

White Rose Agility is a competition agility club based in Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. There are normally about 20 members competing with dogs of all standards from Grade 1 to Grade 7 and at all heights: Small, Medium and Large.

White Rose Agility trains on Wednesday evenings only, and takes only handlers and dogs that are already competing in Kennel Club or equivalent standard shows. Members attend shows most weekends of the year - especially in the summer - and judge or ring party at many of them. As a club we believe firmly in having fun, and in putting something back into the sport that we all enjoy so much.

Currently there are no vacancies. Training is to KC regulations, eg up-contacts are trained as well as down-contacts.

Thank you to Katherine Palin, McTimoney chiropractor, who came to the club to do an assessment of some of the dogs last night. We had 12 dogs ready for her, and she worked solidly for 3 hours to assess them all - with some positive suggestions for stretching exercises for us to do with the dogs pre- and post-exercise and agility in order to keep them in good shape. Everyone was pleased with her assessments of their dogs, which is reasuring at the start of the busiest time of the agility year.
I'll see whether we can get her to come back again later in the season if there are enough dogs to warrant a second visit - let me know!
